I feel that SI is a wonderful site now, the "small town feel" of it where you can get responses from Brad or Jeff, the nice touches like free T-Shirts if you ask nice and no advertising is fantastic. I can't see how it can get any better and I'm just hoping it doesn't become impersonal or I have to wait for a ad to load when I try to call up the next message.
That said, this site has helped me greatly with learning, company information, excellent investment candidates and a great pool of knowledgable investors always willing to share their insights.
Scott

Johanna,

Your open question might get a little more credibility and response if you were to change your email address in your profile to Johanna.Bennett@cor.dowjones.com instead of your AOL address.

Hello Johanna, I consider myself a regular user as you probably noticed by the Bookmark and I am concerned of 'personal attention' this site may no longer get. It is obviously an excellent financial deal and hats off to Jeff, Brad and Jill but from an end user's perspective, it is too early to claim victory or defeat. This site has been able to implement new features easily which in turn have made all users pleased. With todays buyout, SI may be introduced to red tape and realize that a longer approval process may be required to implement enhancements to the site or that quick and personal response from the original creators of Silicon Investor.

The internet offers many opportunities for everyone to promote a product and service and if a site is successful it opens its arms for possible takeover with the right financial offer. We will see more of these similar buyouts but at the same time it has also created a window of opportunity for many others.

Please note this is just my opinion and there are others that may feel otherwise.

Regards
Frank Famularo
