I also am worried that the quick rise at the end of the day is another MM trick to try and attract more market orders before the open tommorrow. They just drool over those things. If there is a big gap up on tomorrow's open (like there's been the past 3 days), I'll conclude that the supply imbalance still exists and I'll be watching for a repeat of today's price slide.

On the other hand, the volume associated with the end of today's trading was strong and doesn't show any obvious manipulation signs.

Long-term long,
Chip

TDFX is a great long term hold & also a great trading stock.

The fundamentals are sound. If one cannot stomach dips like these
one should not invest. The only people losing money are the ones selling in panic to guys like me happily averaging down!

One look at the chart or the open interest on may calls tells the story... Either a lot of people are very stupid (which may well be the case, nothing is certain in this world...)or some smart money are paying good money for may 30 & 35 calls. Hmmm...

Never invest so much capital (greed) in a stock that you
feel forced to sell (fear) at a loss at times like these. The
profits are there in TDFX, now for MMs & traders, later for long
term holders - the fundamentals, the market leadership & brand recognition were still there last I checked.

Do sell if the fundamentals change, but in this case they haven't.

/Sverre

Doubt that 3dfx is the victim of huge MM conspiracy. Should try to think of reasonable explanation so that you can make money from your theory. How's this: earnings have outstripped current underlying financials and people are stuck between panic buying and panic selling.
