I think I saw somewhere that TDW's earnings are actually May 4th before market open.

Unless, perhaps, they also had some other oily stuff - the other stuff that went down (sigh). You're right, no great show of confidence in upcoming earnings today. Probably overwhelmed by other concerns. Maybe tomorrow will be our day. Go TDW!

Not a great day today. It looked generally like water-treading on generally light volume. DO managed a bit of a gain -- that and only fractional losses for most of the rest is noteworthy on a generally weak market day with oil down. There seems less of the panic & rush for the exits than I would have expected. Maybe we're too jaded and need a heavier selloff to get excited. Or maybe we've found enough support that former lows are history.

I'm still a bit concerned that we may follow oil prices lower, but so far the strength of the drillers looks very impressive.
