Don, I was fortunate to take my own good advice and sell my puts at the low opening this morning for no loss, no gain. Its apparent the current enthusiasm is not going to get me rich on the short side in the next 24 hours... but I'll be paying attention to the downside soon enough. By the way during the cc did/do they still have a buyback program in place? The buying seems block methodical when you observe a one minute chart... with supportive buying coming in when interest lags.

Jim

Don,
There is a very big difference between INTC and MSFT buying back their shares, and IBM's stock buy back program. Intel & MSFT are consistently growing revenues, (year over year), but IBM is buying their stock back in order to distort earnings and to make it appear as if they were growing. Take a look at what these companies Shareholder's Equity is doing over the last 18 months and you will see what I mean.
