Thought the Intel/Dec deal was great until I heard Samsung is making the Alpha.I think the Alpha is a damn fine chip and much more of a threat to intel then AMD's little 'hot plates' or anything from Cyrix. Just hope Intel bought up lots of Samsung when the Korean president had his hat in his hand recently during Barrett's visit. Next thing you know China will be making them for 10 bucks each. Don't think AMD Alpha's would be much of a threat as they can hardly make their own chips much less someone elses. Just wish the Alpha tech hadn't got out of the bottle so to speak. Thought that's why Intel was buying it. That and staying out of court.
