NEW YORK, April 23 (Reuters) - Select Internet stocks led by Infoseek Corp. mounted a partial recovery in after-hours trade Thursday following a profit-taking sell-off in the group during the regular trading day, traders said.
After the close, Infoseek reported a first-quarter loss of $0.05 per share versus the loss of $0.10 per share expected by Wall Street analysts.

In late trade, Infoseek's stock rose to 31-13/16 on Nasdaq.

During the regular session, Infoseek had tumbled 4-3/16 to finish at 28-7/16.

Meanwhile, Yahoo Inc. (YHOO - news) edged up to 113-3/4 in late trade from 112-3/16 at the close. In regular trade, Yahoo shares fell 6-3/16. Excite Inc. (XCIT - news) made up part of its 5-3/8 loss during the day, closing at 60-1/8, then rising to 61-1/4 after the close.

Also, Lycos Inc. (LCOS - news) traded at 56, up from 54-1/8 at the close, a 7-3/4 loss during regular trading.

I've been watching CNBC for the past hour and have yet to hear anything in reference to the dual bid/ask.
