Is that statistic for current drug use, or drug experimentation in high school and college? It is a little hard to hold a stressful life with children together, pay the bills, manage investments, work very hard, help with homework, and still do drugs!!!! Not to mention that it is a bad influence on children to observe their parents doing drugs (in my opinion). On the other hand, I think people who experiment when they are young probably have other risk-taking traits that will serve them well as they move through life.
