Off Topic...Has anyone been watching Hoechst [HOE, NYSE]? They seem to have a "winner" in their allergy drug Allegra. And the PE's, etc, make it look cheap compared to other drug companies...Any thoughts/info?

Can anyone explain William Steere's comments regarding a split? There were comments on the thread that there were enough shares authorized for a 2:1 split, but that doesn't appear to be the case.

Steere said a split could be achieved either by convening another meeting of shareholders late in 1998 ''or waiting until this time next year'' for the next annual shareholder meeting.
