Al:

I overheard a couple of salesmen talking while waiting in line at Pepe's pizza. I wasn't able to hear everything being said. In the early part of the conversation I did overhear the words digital verses analog and muttering of sound quality. They also said something to the effect of reduced size and longer battery life. At this point I'm looking for an opening to enter the discussion. Then I get distracted by a couple of attractive ladies behind me in line. As the line moves forward they are now inside in the line and I can smell the pizza while standing in the door way. I had forgotten how informal the restaurant could be. I am facing their backs and its loud inside with the rumbling of voices. I strained to hear one of them comment on savings in cost and time. The other gent asked if there was a direct connection. Now I am certain of what they are speaking of but time is running out there about to be seated. I turned to see the whereabouts of the two ladies behind me. And before I could turn back I heard the word NEXTEL. When I looked around the two guys were walking with the waiter to their table. The waiter appeared to know one of them from before. Well the same waiter seated me next. Its strange how you think you heard part of a conversation and know the whole story. It turns out one of the salesmen's name is Al. He recently relocated to New Haven, CT. and was comparing driving to work now from before. He had lost weight since he moved and now has more energy. Where Digital and Analog came into it, I don't know and I didn't ask.

Remember Arnie, you blasted the crap out of me months ago when I mentioned this.

I just hope Nextel isn't going to use your investment money to relocate or buy those
crappy licenses.<VBG>

If Arnie continues to blast the "crap" out of you, won't you be even smaller? <VBG>

Al, you ought to see a dermatologist about that thin skin of yours. I remember the conversation about Podunk Junction but I didn't "blast" (your words) you. I stand by my comments that NXTL is focusing its energies primarily on major metros. That doesn't mean that they're not trying to fill in coverage gaps when opportunities arise. And why would NXTL buy your client's smr licenses for what he thinks is an excessively high price? Could it be because NXTL will be able to earn a better return on those licenses than your client? If you want to provide your client with value added service, you should recommend that he take payment in NXTL stock. Then he would earn really excessive prices for those licenses. How can I make such a seemingly ridiculous statement? Because I expect NXTL stock to return between 30%-50% compounded annual returns over the next 5 years. That ain't chicken feed and it certainly beats the cd rate at Bank of America nee NationsBank.

Arnie

P.S. Try leaving the motorhome in Anacortes or Vancouver, charter a boat and see the San Juan or the Gulf Islands. It's an experience that you'll never forget, especially if you like to catch and eat dungeness crabs.
