The only thing we have done at this point is taken some profits...on the faster movers within the portfolio.....ie everything up more that 1% a day got cut a while back.

Commissions of $10 were added to the transactions. It is impossible to tell if one could have gotten better or worse executions. That's why the closing numbers are used. The rebalancing was for stocks that had run over 100 percent in 3 days. A total of 3 stocks in the Cats and Dogs portfolio KTEL, PQT, and CYSP. Certainly bid/ask spread can have an effect. Commissions are subtracted on the buy and sell side with the exception of the initial allocation. I think it is a trade of of diversification at the cost of having to do some rebalancing. Also, since the initial investment is fixed new opportunities have to be purchased with cash from somewhere.
