Until we actually get our hands on the prototypes from NASD, etc. , I cant be certain, but in my opinion, it will greatly benefit individual investors as you will become a 'market order'. Every order should be immediately executed against a book and if not, then represented in the open market. Very similar to what ECNs do already, yet if the NASD provides it directly, what good will ECNS be?
That was my point. I am not trying to offend or create a controversy and I am sure some ECN owner might pop in counter...
believe me, I could care less and I am not trying to cause controversy, just present my opinion of how new Nasdaq systems will impact market, investors and current business.
