Curlton, I think that the direction tomorrow will depend more on the mood in semi land. There was a nice rally going on in the SOX but today looked like a reversal. The fact that INTC held pretty well, may indicate that this is just a retracement in an uptrend. However, CYMI really should hold the 24/25 area to continue its bullish trend. I think that the street had a whisper number much higher than the number we saw and the "forward looking statements", particularly "weakening" of US markets (adding to Asian woes) may not sit too well with analysts. On the positive side, we have hit .8 on the Book to Bill ratio for equipment makers, it rarely goes much lower than that, meaning, the worst of this semi equipment retrenchment is probably over.

Can someone explain why there are no share buyback by CYMER?
1997 avg weighted outstanding share # 28212000 (according to 10K)
1998 1st Qtr avg weighted outstanding share # 28775000

more shares (28775000-28212000=563000) ?

I thought CYMER is going to buy back 50 millions worth of stock?
