to aLL Internet Stock Lovers: We might have another run up tomorrow that might last until monday due to favorable earning report from SEEK... After reading several internet stock threads in SI, Yahoo and AOL, It comes to my attention that a lot of long term "investors" claiming to buy the stock before the run up still holding even during the down turn...My question is why had not they sold? Is it "greed"?? is it because they're expecting their stock will further RISE in an imaginable prices?? or just plain foolishness... Greed is our worse enemies that will reward us or will cause our downfall...My definition of long term investment is a atleast a year or more...If your long term stock double or more in a year, it is natural to take a profit (forget the tax worry) and continue w/ another stock unless fundamentals states its still under value...But if your long term stock had double,triple, quintuple in a day, two, or in a week, "common sense" dictates its time to take the profit or atleast take the profit and leave your cost basis $$ on the stock...and now for the "late comer" INVESTORS on internet stock, these internet stocks will only good for "play" NOT long term investment due to excessive valuations and some stock has poor fundamentals... once the momemtum dies down, u might ended up w/ a loss...If you can't play and don't know when to sell it, FORGET ABOUT IT!!... just a thought... foOLish eL.....
