Bravo..second,,TM neither God nor Devil..just..
a person..
hopefully a good one..time will tell

folks just buy the ones you are comfortable with ..do some DD,,
making money is not easy..no matter how much TM or others will tell you otherwise..
read...read..and when you think your eyes are going to pop out,,read some more..then call the company
then go play some golf..call mom..think about the company..then pull the trigger..or not..either way with -confidence
quit playing with big boys and then blaming them for your loses.

Dave,
You really should add RENT to both short term, intermediate and long term. It will be awesome. On Tokyo, yes, his style is not for everyone. Some get hurt because they dump too quickly after a stock falls as with RNET today but he never said it was an instant hit. He said long term. I am long RNET and holding. I have done very well with Tokyo's picks both quick trades and holding IFLY, TAVA, etc. I do disagree with you on his DD. He is very often right on the money. I know many investors but have never met anyone with Tokyo's ability to dig up information on a company that nobody else seems to know. His sources and connections are awesome and his instincts for stocks is very good. Of course he makes mistakes as we all do but I think you underestimate his abiliy. I have not come across a better investor on SI as of yet. Newbies beware as he cautions. Inexperienced traders can get hurt participating in momentum trades if they do not know when to get in and out. For what it's worth, that is my opinion. Think you were a bit harsh. I am certainly wealthier since I first heard the name Tokyomex last year.

Dave
Great post. We all want to leap tall buildings in a single bound, just don't forget about the kryptonite. I have made some great trades based on TM's, Jane's, Skipard's, Joe C's and others picks and look forward to many more. I stay away from the quick momentum plays as it took losing money to realize that I did not have the tools or time necessary to compete in that arena. In spite of that, dreams do come true like buying DGIV @ .39, TAVA @ 5.00, and RADAF @ 13.00. So I would say to anyone who has or is going thru this learning experience hang tough and listen to the wisdom Dave has imparted.
Luck to all...

Cordially,

B.Long

I am also a mere mortal and buy only 1 out of 6 TMex's picks, adjusting to my own style. I use limit orders and rarely buy at market, so I very seldom get whipsawed, and always place a stop loss. Don't mind missing a few good ones, as long as I miss most of the bad buys. That way, I still have the buying power for the next opportunities.

At the same time, I don't think TMex is a manipulator. Let him have fun and may his luck spread. Just make sure he doesn't get over confident and lose his level head. So far he is doing o.k., and you too, Dave.

I also like IGTI and a few of your picks, and am looking for the right time and price to buy it.

I am sensing a frothy market, many of the dogs are barking, and the deads are stirring. Is it getting close to a market correction time?

DAVE.. excellent post RE Tmex...

Some of his best picks are the ones that survive his onslaught.. I made money on IFLY.... BUT, the rest are only for the quick triggered ones.. I have tried, and placed orders the VERY second his pick appears, and by the time the order fills, I lose money or miss the deal...... Regardless of the hype and devotion here.. he IS being investigated by the SEC according to more than I few sources .... There is nothing wrong with saying "I am buying FKYOU" and he has a disclaimer... BUT is this enough, and is it "kosher"?

The only value he has as a stock picker is to see what he's looking at , wait for the dust to settle, and decide if he accidentally found a long term gem....

I see better plays go by all the time that are well thought out and actually valuable, and they happen in real time as I watch....

I cant wait to see your Tmex Part 2...

Dave, there is a point that not many seem to understand about following TMEX, it is an education. Joe knows how to quickly get the feel for the rythm of a stock. And as any good daytrader knows, it is important to know how the stock your daytrading reacts under different circumstances. This kind of intimate knowledge a typical daytrader develops over months, Joe gets it real fast. To have someone like that guiding you is invaluable.

There is something else many don't realize, Joe risks his money testing the reaction of stocks to high volume. If his tests fail, he doesn't recommend the stock, but eats the loss. He has the ability to do this, which gives all his members an advantage. Him and I hardly talk (believe it or not), I surmized this from his posts.

I am very carefull who I associate myself with. As many know me from the TAVA thread, I take special precautions to be honest, fair and ethical. If Joe was doing anything wrong or illegal and I knew about it, I would not be a part of TokyoJoes-cafe.com He is as legit as I have come to know the best people on SI. And, I hope I can say that about everyone on this thread.

Regards,
Jack Zahran

Dave: Guess I am not part of TMEX in "in crowd" either. I have asked to be added to his mailing list many times. Never an answer of any kind.
I have to defend TMEX though, I have done very well off of several of his picks. You usually do not want to BUY when he announces a pick because a bunch of holders are just waiting to sell as you BUY. BUT!! His stocks , bought after the profit taking, HAVE done VERY well.
TMEX has picked some VERY GOOD stocks, IMO and my account is proof of that.

Like MOST anyone else on SI, you have to know how to play the picks based on the style of the stock picker.

I think TMEX has done VERY good with his picks, and MANY have done very good with them as well!!

I would not miss a TMEX pick for anything. I may not buy everyone, or even close to everyone, but you cannot dispute that TMEX has picke some really good winners!!

All of the above, IMO

Little, junky, FNTN has been a 2X since I mentioned it. I know it is really boring to have to wait weeks for a double, instead of minutes, but hey, that's the way the ball bounces.
ALMI was good for 9 trades. (I was in days before the big moves.))
APII did zip. Well, 2 out of 3.

What's special about PCAP? It had ZERO REVENUES last year and
hasn't reported anything yet for this year. Why would a company
cancel shares after an acquisition?

Bravo! It is so easy to get caught up in all this day-trader action
that one fails to differentiate between hype and honest DD. Thanks
for bringing us all back down to reality.
