donald,

i believe it was you a few posts back talking about bonds being down 17 then 11 ticks. where can you get this info after hours?

today was kind of fun. my shorts did well and my very few longs held their ground pretty well. looking for more carnage tomorrow for sure. knock on wood. i was a little surprised how well sox held up. will look into some index puts there tomorrow. premiums seem pretty rich. don't know for sure as only been doing the option thing for three months.

AMEX to list options on Computer Hardware Index

biz.yahoo.com

Don, I saw this first announced late last night, but they didn't give the symbol or start date for trading. Now from this the symbol is HWI, to begin trading this Monday, April 27th.

Could be cool to follow it. I haven't studied the fundamentals of the box builders lately. Might be a good index to scoop up calls on if/when we get a BK. When you consider continental Europe, Asia, Africa, the world is still a long way from being saturated with PCs. Lots of pent-up demand world-wide, IMO.

You know they're blowing out P133MMX laptops for $1089, and that's with a 1.6GB HD, 16MB RAM. An extra 16MB of ram for $89. If they (right now it is Fujitsu & CTX) always have a phase-out model at that price, what a great thing for college students. 166MMX laptops going for $1400-$1500 from many different vendors. Incredible.
