Three major zones were outlined, Baroya Nord, Central (referred to as New zone in the previous press release) and Segala extension. The Baroya Nordÿ zoneÿ hasÿ nowÿ beenÿ traced for 350 metres, the Central zone for 800 metres and the Segala extension for 214 metres. All zonesÿ areÿ openÿ along strike. Recent sampling in the southernÿ partÿ ofÿ theÿ propertyÿ hasÿ outlinedÿ an additionalÿ promisingÿ zoneÿ of anomalous gold values which will be further examined in the next phase of trenching. Segala Extension Results from a single trench previouslyÿ revealedÿ 3.86ÿ g/tÿ goldÿ overÿ a length of 7.6m. Several new excavations have now been completed. While some of them did not penetrateÿ belowÿ theÿ leached zone and accordingly returned only anomalous gold values, results from the five excavations that are thought to beÿ more representativeÿ ofÿ thisÿ zone are: 3.37 g/t over 1.3m, 1.41 g/t over 9.8m, 3.25 g/t over 4.5m, 2.21 g/t over 0.92m, 157.8 g/t over 0.5m and 164.7ÿ g/t over 0.5m. Five further excavations were made along an east-west line at the 174m mark on the northwest line of the zone. As expected the shallow excavations once again returned only anomalousÿ goldÿ valuesÿ whileÿ theÿ fifthÿ butÿ deeper excavation assayed 3.57 g/t over 0.45m. Central Zone As previously reported, samples from a 1.5m wide northwest strikingÿ quartz vein returned 81.60 and 61.41 g/t gold respectively. A 13m wide step-out trench was dug on strike 600mÿ southeastÿ ofÿ theÿ 1.5m wideÿ quartz vein previously sampled. The initial 6m of this trench assayed 0.51 g/t and the remaining 7m averaged 1.45 g/t. Additional trenching is planned for all four zones. The Baroya permit is currently held as to 65% Shiega,ÿ 25%ÿ Robexÿ andÿ 10% Somex-Sarl, a private Malian company. (c) Copyright 1998 Canjex Publishing Ltd. Wats Too bad markets were so down today....
