Quantum reported earnings and while 2 cents isn't a blow out, they do have some interesting things to say about inventory. Internal inventory is down to about 3 weeks and they see 5 weeks in the channel. They achieved 14 turns of inventory this quarter. They expect this coming quarter to be flat revenues and see September quarter as a hopeful recovery. They project flat earnings for the coming year and they are "playing conservative" all the way on estimates, so I should hope any errors will be good. While flat earnings are not good for Qntm, they anticipate double digit declines in price if current trend hold up,so you can bet that means they will be building more units. The 4 gig drive was the highest volume with 40% of sales. 6.5 million total units were sold with 6.1 million being desk top. They also said 1/4 of volume went into under $1200 PC's. They also feel they have 30% of the market for 799 to 999 price point PC's. They have not aggressively pursued under 799 price point, but are exploring configurations. Regards, Mark
