You remarked:

I'm surprised that Samsung, so impressed with IDA, didn't buy the company outright, considering the precarious position IDA is currently in.....

Good point. And rather than Samsung making their own cheaper versions of IDA products, why not just take the company over? Surely that must be the cheapest alternative of all. Maybe we, as shareholders, should press for this.

The share price did show some very very slight strength on this news yesterday, but nothing significant.

Great volume today--one of the highest in recent years. Check out this chart:

tscn.com

It looks like someone wanted the stock to close higher. The largest block of the day, 17,000 shares, was bought (10 min from the bell) by Versus at .38/sh. Altogether, including trades made immediately prior, Versus acquired 30,000 shares.

Levesque (are they the market maker?) then picked up 17,000 shares at 0.35 from three different brokers, and closed the day, buying an additional 7500 shares at 0.30.

Goldman sold another 10,000 shares today at 0.35.

Not a bad trading day.
