Actually, guys, 180 degrees would be due south. North is 360. Perhaps that's what's wrong with this market - no one knows north from south. You know, over open ocean with no land in sight, the water looks just like the sky. That's why we have *instruments* (OK Baldy - there's the assist - better make the lay-up).

PS: The market's gyro stopped spinning a long time ago and nobody bothered to get a barometric reading to adjust the altimeter. Seats may be used as a floatation device.

PPS: Precession, however, is used to advantage in the erection mechanism of the altitude indicator and turn coordinator. Thus, the only gyro instrument that has precession effects that you must physically correct is the heading indicator.
