Everyone

NSM is still in the acquisition mode. Does anyone care to speculate as to how this one will help the company?

Scumbria - Re: "Intel building their own version of MXi? If so, do you know what the schedule is for it?"

Intel is building an integrated Chip (Set) with the 440BX, i740 2d/3D Graphics and SoundBlaster-Compatible Audio - the code name is "Whitney".

This is targeted for early 1999.

Coupled with Mendocino (Celeron with 128 K integrated L2 cache), it will provide a high performance 2-chip integrated solution for Intel's customers.

Mendocino itself is targeted for Q4 of this year but I believe it is well ahead of schedule.
