I don't know how anyone could inject a child with the AIDS virus. I don't see evil in the same way that it is generally perceived on the Ask God thread, but I believe it definitely exists in the world, and most certainly when children are hurt I think it is just about the most evil that can happen. The armchair psychologist in me wants to say that the father must have been abused in some way himself as a child, but I really don't know that. Some parents who are separated or divorced use their children to hurt former spouses. Stealing them away against custody orders is a way to do that, but a few horrible parents actually kill their own children. Obviously, this man was not emotionally connected to his child, or he could not have injected him like that. We had a case here recently where a clinically depressed mother put duct tape over the mouths and noses of her three little girls, and then pressed their faces into pillows to make sure they died. It is very common for parents who are in despair to kill their children when they commit suicide, as this woman planned to do, because they do love their children and cannot imagine the children outliving them and are concerned for their welfare. Of course, this is very twisted thinking. Do you remember the case several years ago where a father in California was planning to burn himself and his six-year-old son to death in a hotel room? I forget whether it was mostly to hurt his ex-wife, or some other twisted reason, but the child survived with horribly disfiguring injuries, and the father chickened out totally from the suicide plan and spent a long time in jail. I don't see how a parent who did this could even go on with life, but as I started out here, there truly is evil in the world. Congratulations on snagging 20,800. I guess 21,000 is not far from here!!
