NEWS FLASH!!!

It has come to my attention that the Department of Minerals and Energy Affairs in South Africa is in the process of issuing a press release to the general media.

The contents of the press release apparently state that Minister Maduna's letter to the Financial Post has been misinterpreted and misquoted, as his response dates back to circumstances surrounding this case at that time, which was January 1998.

The Minister at that time was of the opinion that the Department would support SUF in their section 17 application, but that circumstances had since changed and the Department was now not supporting any party in this matter.

The press release apparently also states that the heirs had taken cession of the mineral rights and the interdict had since been removed.
