Banners: way off topic. Actually I agree, but I'm looking at it from the other side. I think a few banners tastefully done can enhance the advertising effect and don't "annoy" the reader. Reminds me of where I live in Boca Raton. You are not allowed to have billboards that are not approved by the City of Boca Raton and therefore there are only few billboards on a long stretch of Federal Highway. These meld in with the decor and are tastefully done. Drivers therefore 'read' them because they want to see what makes these so special that they are permitted to be put up.

Delray Beach, the adjacent city you are not limited and they dot the side of the Federal highway in such a massive quantity that you really want to drive through that strip as quickly as possible and you don't read one of them.
