I found this on the Raging Bull board thought I'd pass it along . It does seem interesting. By: BustedSpike Reply To #4 by elkhunter Friday, 5 Mar 1999 at 2:14 PM EST Post # of 5 Just picked up a few shares today. I've been following Asian Star Development since GGNC announced a deal with them concerning an internet sports bar at a water theme park in Southern China. Unfortunately, I missed the Mar 1 PR. GGNC's PR announcing their deal with Asian Star stated that New World Development was a majority shareholder of Asian Star Development. I researched New World Development and found out that they are a huge conglomerate in Hong Kong. I emailed New World's IR contact in Hong Kong and he confirmed for me that New World is a majority shareholder in Hip Hing Holdings, Ltd, which is a majority shareholder in Asian Star Development. Consequently, I think the deal between VTEH and Asian Star will turn out to be huge. I having a difficult time figuring out if GGNC will be a part of the VTEH - Asian Star joint venture or be left out in the cold with just the one deal at the Asian Star water theme park. GGNC licenses it's gaming software from MicroGaming Technologies and it's sports book software from Worldnet Gaming (which recently was acquired by RIHI). On the surface, it would seem GGNC would be a good fit for the VTEH-Asian Star joint venture. There are rumors flying on the GGNC board that it will announce 3 acquisitions next week. In the past, GGNC has issued PR's that it was in negotiations with a privately held Canadian company to acquire a casino and sports book operations that looks and smells like International Gaming Corp, the privately held gaming company that had previously purchased SBET's casino and sports book operations. International Gaming Corp defaulted on the terms of the deal and SBET is in the process of a lawsuit against them trying to recover their property. The GGNC's longs, myself included, have been waiting patiently for this deal or any deal like this to be finalized. GGNC mgmt has insisted that it will do the acquiring and not be acquired. That would leave two rumored acquisitions pending. Anybody have any idea on the shares issued and out on VTEH? I know that Asian Star is thinly traded. But I'm not sure about the number of shares issued and out.
