Rentech Welcomes New Member to Its Board of Directors

DENVER, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentech, Inc. (Nasdaq: RNTK), today
announced the addition of John Ball, Jr., attorney at law, to the Board of
Directors of Rentech, Inc.
Mr. Ball is senior partner and the head of the Corporate Commercial
Department for Keyser Mason Ball of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. A licensed
attorney in the provinces of Nova Scotia and Ontario, Mr. Ball has been
practicing corporate law since 1971.
He is a prominent member of the Canadian Bar Association having chaired or
vice chaired numerous committees including the Communications Committee,
Finance Committee and served on The Executive of the Canadian Bar Association.
From 1985 to 1995 Mr. Ball served as general counsel for Purolator Filters of
Canada and was a member of its Board of Directors. During this timeframe Mr.
Ball also acted as legal counsel to Pennzoil of Canada.
Mr. Ball was recently nominated by his peers to vie for the position of
Vice President of the Canadian Bar Association.
Additionally, John is an instructor for the Bar Admission Course of the
Law Society of Upper Canada at the Osgood Law School of the University of
Toronto. As an active speaker throughout Canada and North America, John
addresses various topics of business law and legal ethics in his
presentations.
Mr. Ball is a Director of the Mississauga Hospital Board and chair of its
Bio-Ethics Committee as well as a past member of the Board of Regents of Mount
Allison University.
