Unfortunately I do not have an on-line link to the report - I read it in a weekly newsletter. I have always admired Ultratech's market focus and commitment to their 1X solution for the low end of the photolithography market. However, I do question a foray into the high end against Nikon, ASML and Canon. These large competitors have their own captive lens design and manufacturing operations or in the case of ASML, a strong relationship with Zeiss. ISI is on the verge of bankruptcy and I believe this acquisition will divert focus and cash away from dealing with the last 7 quarters' decline in revenues and earnings.
Maybe Art Z. can pull off another rescue. I'm familiar with this market but new to the Silicon Investor experience - I would appreciate comments from those who have insight to this situation. Thanks.
