Yes that was my concern, thanks.

Just as long as personal profiles have an option to keep out the non members thats fine with me. I don't want everybody in the world sending me email.

Thanks
Michelle

Brad, Jeff, and Jill-First, my sincere congratulations on your success. As I'm sure you realize, investors generally applaud successful entreprenueral success, and I'm happy for your accomplishments.

My only concern is the sanctity of the lifetime charter membership. But I see you have already addressed that issue in an earlier post.

BTW-thanks for the T-shirt!!

>>personal profiles evolving to function more like custom home pages<<

I like the idea... Expanding on the idea, make them a front door to a web hosting service?

I see selling storage space coupled with a software management capability as having major growth potential. With faster Internet connections in the not to distant future online Megabytes will play a significant role. Instead of moving files to and from work on removable media that does not fit the bill, Internet connections will thrive. I would like to think of it as being another harddrive on my machine with additional benefits. When my home computer crashes it is always a relief to know that the files I have on the net are untouched. It may also be used for transferring files from one home computer to another in the same room!

I believe you have all of the pieces already in place. Many users do not make use of their home pages because they do not know how. The SI forums would play a major role here. People will take the path of least resistance and opt for SI services.

Many people in your existing user base would probably make use of the service right away. We are a loyal group.

Many web hosting services are offering forum software in the packages. You already have the best, why not make a version of it available as an option in the deal?

Give us 30 MB with 1GB bandwidth per day (seems to be going rate) and I am ready to fork over $30 per month. A five MB page for $5? per month would probably attract a lot of SI users.

My two cents

Brad, the new table BGCOLORs are hosing the images in my profile. They specifically work on white and even using GIF transparency won't help as they're anti-aliased to white, so some fringe would still show through. Can the table BGs be selectable so they either behave as 'default' = white or 'alternate' = new color scheme?

Dear Brad,

I'm surprised that the SI's real asset has received so little play on this thread. You have eyeballs, they want eyeballs, you sold our eyeballs.

Plain and simple.

Kreskin says: The buyer controls the company, you will not be here a year from now. Prices will go up, quality will go down, and we will be guinea pigs their for advertising.

Spam happens.
