Jules, Intel has no processor that competes with IBM's S/390 or RS/6000 processors. Intel processors may be used in small scale "enterprise servers", but they are definitely in the low end. I believe that IBM revenues increased in the non-PC systems that could be reasonably compared to Intel-powered processors. Revenues were flat in the S/390 arena, but Intel has nothing that will be delivered this century that will compete with the IBM S/390 processor currently available. One key thing that will make it very difficult for Intel processors to break into the high end is lack of high end software. IMHO, NT is not ready to replace OS/390. Since Intel has nothing to replace IBM's mainframe processors, I can't understand how you can believe Intel will lose revenues in this area. Perhaps you can set me straight. TIA. Scott
