Welcome aboard. For a thread that almost died, we're now at the Century Mark in # of posts.

Do you know how you would set up a trailer park REIT? There are prison REIT's in the U.S. and probably even mortuary REIT's. Recently in the Globe, they joshed about how REIT's are like someone who lives in a house who packages up the rent and mortgage as an income stream then charges us a management fee to live in the joint.

Extending the imagination: Grain Elevator REIT's, Rail CAR REIT's, Garbage Dump REIT's, University Cafeteria REIT's, etc.

Well, I made the big move this week, buying my first energy trust after downsizing some of my REIT holdings. Not that I didn't like CAR.IR, but that 2nd $4.00 payment on some of these units is daunting.

Currently hold:

CAR.IR
HOT.IR
LGY.IR
REE.IR
WCL.UN

Any comments on this mix?

Would consider Orion but again, don't like the $4.00 payment in June, expecially since WCL.UN is already trading as a fully-paid unit and is throwing off over $1.00/year.
