I wouldn't be surprised if Intel tried to let AMD and Samsung do all the production.

Why would they want to produce a chip with such small volumes?

Wouldn't that just force them to keep some production capacity underutilized just to serve Alpha?

Heck, isn't that why DEC wanted to do this in the first place?

Boy, this thread (AMD) and the AMD News thread are DEAD ... When I came
on-line, there was only one post on these threads compared to 32 on the
Intel thread. I guess everyone over here is waiting for AMD to be
"parted out". I wonder who Jerry will "sucker" on this deal. <ggg>
