Can you prove that these wave patterns fulfill anything. Let's put it another way - would you bet the house on it? I posted a message a while back that the Elliott Wave Theory started as a tongue in cheek idea in the Toronto office of a Montreal Investment Counsel back in the 50s or 60s. I had this first hand from one of the people who were there, and can find out more, but would not want to name the individuals. Various people have run with the idea since, including Prechter I assume. What is the expression - 'graphs fortell but can't compell'? Something like that.
