AVNT up on rumors only. Friday April 24, 11:35 am Eastern Time Avant! jumps on rumor of court ruling NEW YORK, April 24 (Reuters) - Avant! Corp.'s shares rose sharply on Friday on rumors that a judge ruled Thursday the company could go ahead and market its Aquarius software product, an analyst following the company said. Neither Avant! nor its rival Cadence Design Systems Inc. (CDN - news) had announced a ruling yet. Avant! has been battling Cadence in the courts for over two years over the right to market some of its products. Executives at Avant! and Cadence were not immediately available for comment Friday morning. There has yet to be a comment by either company regarding a ruling. This one should fall.
