Re: Stock Repurchase Apr. 23, 1998, Rational Software Corp. (Nasdaq:RATL - news) said its board authorized the repurchase of up to 6,000,000 of its common shares in the open market from time to time. Hi Sid + thread, I think this provides an option for the company. They haven't said "We are buying 6 million shares." They may buy half a million. They may not buy any. They may buy tomorrow, next week, next year or never. The authorization gives them a tool to use for various possible purposes. Sure is a beautiful day in RATL land!!! <GGG> regards, diana
