Why would buyouts be off? They are much more lucrative when earnings and prices are down. Much more leverage especially in the case of takeovers. The other reason to hold is that this is in the Position Trading Account, although I am not sure how many people care about th logic any more. In a Position Trading system like this, one is holding for substantial increase over a longer window thatn a day trade or even week trade. The stock price is down, it has potential (even if that is under merger) for substantial appreciation, and is below a normal stop loss. If it bases here, I would average down when it looks to move again. The other thing going for it is that as a consumable/beverage, a correcting market will return to thiese sectors for accumulation and that will drive the price up.

But for a short term trade, I would have exited as it went from 5-8% below my entry, so you are right. Hopefully I differentiate the Position Trading Acount from other types of buys, but if that isn't coming through, please let me know.

TOS..Just sold a perfectly good company. I know it will continue its gains, but I was hesitant holding over the weekend. TOS, JAII, and AFLX are all gone now. my MYG May options are the only thing I now hold in my trading portfolio. I'm ready with 98% cash going into Monday..Let's see what happens next week.

personally, I think if I sold mine now...it would go up a buck tomorrow <ggg>

I do not see that the sector is weak...is it in the same sector as PEPsi?

IMSI -ROSS Undervalued growth stocks projected to grow 25% a year

very undervalued nice company.IMSI has a growth rate going forward of 44 % per year. Stock is in a very strong upward trend and overbought. Should be reporting today. This one looks like a nice short term trade.

ROSS good chart 25% growth a year, strong stocks that will be good after they pull back. company has no debt. Trades at a 20% Discount PE Multiple.

Jerry, got the cash ready? Should have bought some puts, but at least 98% in cash going into today. Stuck with MYG options but otherwise unscathed. We needed this 'mini correction'. Thinking about positions in oil sector but not in any hurry for new positions.
