Maybe somebody can explain this to me... why would the FTC
tell Intel that they have to licence the Alpha chip to
Samsung?? AMD I could see, but isn't Samsung a Japanese
competitor??

Also, I am somewhat surprised that the Alpha is regarded
as Intel's biggest competitor. I know that it is supposed
to be a really nice chip... but nobody uses it, and very
little in the way of software has been written for it,
even after something like 7 years. Plus it will be equaled
in a year or two by Intel's Merced, which everybody will
want to support. So is this who issue a
dead letter, or am I missing something?
