Matt....I buy those reports from First Call. I cross check them with I.B.E.S., www/stocksite.com, YHOO and briefing.com. But some of the companies pre-report anyhow. As for the scans they begin their routes in Telescan prosearch find their way to telecharts 2,000 and then Metastock 6.5... only then do I double check them for Institutional interest, big blocks going through, Insider buying/selling, Zacks etc. and of late, thanks to the suggestion of some posters, look at company competition, % of market product has, and any relevant news that can impact the stock as an earnings play. Eventually all the companies that are reporting will be called for confirmaton. Staff shortage renders this impossible at this juncture.
