Pat, as I posted last week, I have inferred an ASND/LU WDM relationship based on the CSCO/CIEN venture announced this week, CC terse statement by ASND about WDM work, and LU public statements about lack of interest in partnering with CSCO. It is only interesting speculation at this point. I have long-term positions in CIEN at $41 and ASND at $27 and won't touch them. djane (your faithful human virtual servant (HVS))

"I've juggled CIEN and ASND for about 2 weeks, now, and have to admit I've done well but not without some nervous moments.. Look at CIEN right now. Would you trim when it's going up or wait on the chance strength at the close means good news next week? Rhetorical question." I'd trim long holding for the short term, because a correction is due, but we don't know when. One or two more weeks of earnings uncertainty, then there should be a correction, then we should have a short summer rally. Of course, the market isn't exactly that predictable....long term you should be set, until the summer swoon...July?

Sorry, Pat. H&Q is not on Monday. H&Q is Wednesday, April 29th at 9:00 am. Westin St. Francis in Union Square. The format, as I understand it, is a short company overview with a moderated, rather than break-out room, Q&A. Hope to get in a few more shares myself before than. The market will let's know the game play. If anyone else is going, we should discuss on Tuesday an SI secret code or something. I remember at the Monty conference an SIer was sitting directly behind me and neither of us knew until we compared notes. He thought I was a big wig. See suits can fool you :-). Later, Dennis
