Ashley,

I was thinking the same thing. These fools are all about hype. The stock market has become like the Superbowl to those guys on CNBC. The only reason I watch it (rarely at that) is because people may react to some of the comments made, and that may help explain some movements. But otherwise, they should just stick to the facts like most real news organizations try to do.

No, you're not venting. IMHO, you're telling the truth. CNBC were the people who recently were celebrating DOW 9000. Now they are saying the sky is falling and we told you so. Kind of like their new analyst bashing game, that they enjoy playing in the morning opening show.

They call it journalism. I think it is bringing kerosene to the fire and pouring it on to create a more interesting story. The media is out of control. The constant Billy boy stuff, Linda McCartney can die where she pleased - it is none of my business to demand to know exactly which property she died on, Paula Let's get some more news Jones, and on and on.

It strikes me that journalist has moved from causes that help people improve their lives, civil rights, war protest coverage, human suffering in the U.S. (remember WATS and the Southern families that were starving) and other countries to this extra hype carnival that sells commercials. How did we let the O.J. thing capture us so much and turn this to a useless media? The lyric "I get all my news in the weather report" fits for me. Except for business news.

(-: IMHO, Dennis - now what that has to do with ASND, I am not too sure. :-)
