Friday April 24, 1:10 pm Eastern Time Company Press Release Atrix International Withdraws from Negotiations MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 24, 1998--Atrix International Inc. (NASDAQ:ATXI -news) of Burnsville, MN announced today that it was formally withdrawing from merger negotiations with Firamada, Inc. Company officials cited Firamada's lack of responsiveness in supplying Atrix International appropriate and timely information concerning its operations. The board of directors of Atrix International concluded that the lack of relevant data and information at this point of negotiations precludes meeting the April 30, 1998 deadline for having an agreement in place. The board stated, ''In light of that and Firamada's history of releasing false and misleading information regarding Atrix International, we are withdrawing form negotiations and ending the uncertainty and concern that our customers, shareholders and employees have expressed since we agreed to negotiate.'' This explains the cancellation of the cc yesterday.
