Actually, my bet is Final Fantasy VII will be in close tie with Unreal in driving sales. Also a point worth noting re the Xmas season. Ideally, card manufacturers want their boards on the shelves no later than mid-October, which means that purchase of the chips will occur in August, possibly even a little before. So... from a competitive standpoint, anyone with a new chip (nVidia, and others) who does not has _final_ chips before the end of June is very unlikely to get any slice of the Xmas season. Say you were CREAF or DIMD, would you take any chance if in June a new chip guy was telling you, yeah I don't have it quite yet, but I promise, I'll deliver my dues by August? I think NOT!

Chip,

re: institutional holdings - from Yahoo thread

messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

Does anyone have the ability to check this? I tried to call a friend at a brokerage in NY but of course he had gone for the day. Will try again on Monday. I did find out from someone else that there are 10 TDFX market makers. There was one at the end of the day at 26 3/8 best bid, 4 at 25 3/4, and some at 26 1/4 -- for what it's worth. You can see this in the after hours transactions.

regards,

stephen
