PRay---Thanks for your help. Are you saying that any time I want to use V4 (eg I may want to go in and out looking at charts 15 separate times a day) AND any time I want to export data to other programs (eg Adv GET, Metastock etc), I must first make sure that the V4 CDROM is in my drive?----if so, how does Metastock read all the data since from your note it appears that relatively little of it is in my C drive and the bulk is still in the CDROM? My understanding is that in order to export to other pgms I must first convert the V4 data into V3 format (which I gather is instantaneous) but this shouldn't change the idea that most of the data is still in the cdrom and not my C drive. When I tell Metastock where to look to convert the TC data, it will be looking for a location on my C drive and it would appear that what you are saying is that such location would be relatively barren.
