Harry, this isn't an issue to get worked up over. The fact is, we don't know yet what the street price is of Win98, because it's not for sale yet.

BUT: Your statement was that CNBC reported "that Microsoft had announced the price of the Windows 98 upgrade... it's $109 retail - the exact same price as Windows 95."

Does the word "retail" not suggest "street"? To me it does. Win95 "Retails" for $89. Now if you want to say that the MSRP (Manufacturer's suggested retail price) of Win98 will be the same MSRP of Win95, then fine, that may be so.

It remains to be seen if Win98 will be "$109 retail".
