>>Iom will rule due to the early lead and OEM buildout<<

OEM lead in 100MB storage. But Sony 200MB is on the way, and much, much faster than Zip to boot. So fast, one can run MPEG2 video straight off a Sony HiFi disc without dropping frames for full multimedia power.

You can't do that with a Zip drive. Too slow.

HiFI also has the capacity to leave the floppy drive sitting on a parts shelf, and still not lose floppy compatibility. Everyone in the biz already knows Sony is going to win this war. Why don't Iomaniacs?

as far as this thread's attitude towards me as of late, I'll paraphrase my man Biggy:

"I've been around the world ya ya ya
and I've been playa hated
I don't know when I don't know why
Why they want me fated
I don't know why they hate me
Is it my ladies?
Or I drive Mercedes?"

Hi ROCKSTA, interesting phenomena read on TMF. One of the board members at Comdex was at the Teac booth. He asked for a demo of SONY's HI FUD. It couldn't be done because "the computer was having problems" HAHAHA!!!! The computer had a headache and couldn't perform. SR
