Ken - it is quite simple. First keep your old data- like my 85 Mazda sedan - It was hard to let it go. So keep it- HD space is cheap. QP will have two formats for "metastock" data- One is a hard copy in MS format which can be merged with your old data etc. They will carry 6 years of data and in some cases data back to 1-1-90 for the indexes and blue chippy types. So I think your old data will never be looked at but just like my Mazda- keep it. The second QP format is a "mirroring process" which basically creates an MS directory or series of MS directories virtually by pointing you back to the QP datafiles. You can use either format- I love and use the virtual format because of it's flexibility. g btw I just sold the old Mazda.
