Hi Jake 11,
Only your second post and I believe one of the best I've read in a long time. Great information! I live in the north country near Flagstaff and haven't been down to the Phoenix office yet.
As to the writing and spelling, I can relate - I can't spell or type either, and sometimes my wife writes and helps me out.

And yes, my loving wife did write this for me :-)

Jake 11, Thanks so much for that great report on your visit to the Phoenix office. Your contribution to the thread is welcome and appreciated!

I found the comments of your broker to be especially interesting.

Fred is a nice guy, isn't he! I have found everyone in that office to be very friendly and helpful. As a matter of fact, it was my call to that office last September that captured my interest in FAMH. Good people!

By the way, Cheryl & I will try to give you a call over this weekend.

Best wishes,
Brad

PS. Tell your daughter Wendy, we appreciate her help, too! :-)

3. In about two weeks, Firamada will have its own web-page
and will be recruiting temporary employees and IT permanent
employees.

Brad, this I believe is the best piece of information you have given your other FAMHily members.

The WEB page will be a BIG PLUS I believe for Firamada if nothing else it will allow people to log in and see what they have to offer in the way of jobs and to learn about the company for investment purposes. It's so important in todays computer age to be on the World Wide Web, good job Ira!!

Hi Jake, Great post. Wow. I love Sedona and that dirt road from Flagstaff to Sedona. Have thought of retiring to Sedona. My son is an engineer in Phoenix so I will make sure he sends clients to the Firamada Phoenix office. Next time I visit him we will also visit that office together. Maybe we saw you at the Phoenix Zoo for the Zoo Lights display ?? Anyway, when I saw Famh at .40 I rushed to my webbroker but it was overloaded. By the time I got into it, I had to settle for more at .48 today. Years from now. maybe months from now, we will be very happy with the price we are accumulating at now.

Mardox's speculation, Jake 11's "vacation", and Scotty's typing ability

All remind me of a time 11 months ago when visiting my brother
in Miami. My sister in law "Cuca" was stymied having worked years
and years as head dietitian in a hospital and seeing no end of it
in sight...

"How can I enjoy the spare time others always seem to be having??
I want a permanent vacation too!! But I know of a friend who 7 years
ago was playing with ridiculous penny stocks as a hobby. Now she
just sells a little and goes anywhere she wants ---all the time!!
[[[ HER WORK IS A HOBBY!!! ]]]
[[[ IT'S ALL SHE DOES!!! ]]]" <EOM> from "Cuca" )

Well all I can see is good "work of another kind" where the tools
anyone has = their own special skills, and they are the ones
who can use them most effectively. And the playing field is "the
pennies" judged to have the most upward promise. If your skillful
enough to house money in the more stable bluechips, so much the
better for "your bank" etc. but that is a trade off everyone makes
when they can, or want to.

It is easier to adjust to quick gain and start again from there
as opposed to the other way, but FAMH is one of a bunch that
gives you the chance to take advantage of true volatility.
(a surge indicates sell, a drop indicates buy again to some,
to others that is ignored; but it's here, isn't it!)

Jake 11 and Scotty may enjoy knowing how Windows 95 can help
with "spelling". There is a program in the Windows CD
(MICROSOFT Office section I think) that has a special
word processor called "Microsoft Word" with a "spell checker"
that corrects mistakes so you can post lots and lots of times
and fool everyone into thinking you are as smart as a college
professor! <g> Just copy and paste (use the "edit" functions
"select all" and "copy" after you have typed) and finally "paste"
your well written post on SI.

To get a feel for what has to be done loading "Microsoft Word"
with its spell-checker into the computer just try this:

PUT WINDOWS 95 DISK IN YOUR CD PLAYER'S "COFFEE CUP" TRAY
AND LOOK FOR "ADD/REMOVE SOFTWARE".
if you begin to feel insecure you can always quit with no
damage or jumping to contusions; or get help from your
daughter.

(extra)
CLICK "MY COMPUTER",
CLICK "CONTROL PANNEL"
CLICK "ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS"
is a good way to try to put other programs in so Windows
can keep good track of them and can help remove them properly
when/if you later want to.

As for not knowing how to type, check with "Wayne". As far as
I know he is the "#1 - 2 typing finger cannonball". (hehehehe)
I use 3 fingers, right hand. (my elbow stays on the desk top
and the little finger doesn't count.) But he can type circles
around me and I will be interested to see which fingers
they are. This has been bothering me for quite some time!

Any how, this may help you send the FAMH Thread many useful words
in spite of the fact you may be a very busy guys.
(using this method on other threads is not allowed
unless you get Brad to slip the appropriate cookie into
your computer programming.) just kidding -g-
