I have an ordinary, run-of-the-mill discount broker. A simple call asking to purchase 1500 shares of IPMC on the CANOTC went through without any troubles, hassles, questions. I was billed US$.25 for the $C0.35 shares (active CANOTC ask). Not the greatest price, but if you want to buy and are willing to suffer a couple of markups, you can buy.

BTW, the transaction didn't show up on the quote.com electronic system for 24 hours.
