Tim, I don't remember if the account I opened with DLJ-Direct was a margin account or not, just that within 24 hours of opening it online, I was authorized purchasing power of $15,000. DLJ-D request a clarification of my address and full name and get a quick credit report before authorizing the $15K. (No, my financials are not all so impressive as to warrant special consideration.) BTW, since I had nothing in the account, what is the point if it was a margin account or not. I believe margin is only permitted against collateral. Richard James
