Jim B: I ran across this site while helping my son's economy class do a research project for school. Their project is really quite interesting. They're "pretend" building a company from scratch in response to the "Mad Cow" disease that created such a stir several months ago. Their goal is to build a company that can both profit from the nationwide panic, and do common social good. They have various departments in their company, including development, marketing, and finance. It's a great exercise because it gives these young adults a view of what it is like to work together as part of their livelihoods. Intriguing.

Anyway, we did a search for "cow" on the Internet with various search engines and came up with this thread. There was talk of the Y2K and kitty litter, and some guy's milking machines. It didn't seem to help my son, so we went on to other "cow" references. However, it tweaked my interest, so I bookmarked it for later reference. This morning, I took some time and read the last 100 or so posts.

I've picked up a few information tidbits, which may or may not be factual. You appear to be the "patron saint" of this thread, as you have been asked and you have answered several questions. Congratulations .. or condolences, as the case might be.

From the tone of some of the posts, I get the feeling that there are some posters who are pulling your leg. I follow SI frequently, and know from experience that this "leg pulling" doesn't usually happen unless there's some underlying reason for sarcastic humor.

So, I have some questions for you, if you don't mind. How did you find out about CSHK? Are you being compensated for promoting it? Are your comments about pending news on Monday just conjecture, or do you know something is about to be announced?

And, from you "leg pullers" ... what's the deal here? Is this company a farce? I find it difficult to believe that a company could specialize in kitty litter and technology at the same time. But, stranger things have happened, so I'm willing to give it a chance to earn my investing dollars.

Does anybody know the management? Rhonda Windsor's name sounds familiar, but I can't quite place it.

Incidentally, I am a STRONG proponent of Internet Explorer 4.0.

Regards,
