Re: whether gold stocks will crash along with others....

I became involved with this thread and gold and gold stocks BECAUSE I felt everything else was headed for an eventual crash.

I was encouraged by the fact that:

1. Gold has become progressively more discredited and unattractive during stock markets' 18 year bull run.

2. Conventional wisdom that the bull would never end at the same time that gold has "lost its luster". is now "demonetized". the dollar is "better than gold."

3. As a result, by and large, the people holding gold stocks aren't the same people holding margin in the broader market.

4. Much can be said for the view that 1987 was a G-7 mistake, not a "crash." Not the end of a credit cycle. The govt giveth and taketh away. What is happening now is under no ones control.
