And speaking of news on servers, this is the kind of story that makes me a believer (this regards DELL's recent involvement in data storage): biz.yahoo.com

For those who don't understand the importance of data storage and, in particular, fibre channel, this means that DELL will now receive it's share of the $50B (over the next five years) data storage sector. Clariion gets relatively good marks from independent testing, in particular, for price.

Now, when DELL sets up an office server (like this news 15,000 PC's: biz.yahoo.com, they can include and profit from also setting up the company's data storage system.

If that isn't enough, here's another piece of that same pie (storage) that DELL is carving out for itself (tape back-up):
biz.yahoo.com

There's big money in storage. Real big. The second half of this year, the industry is suppose to begin a major transition to fibre channel. DELL's in position.

One last thing. For the first time I'm seeing very expensive, full-page adds, on the inside cover or back page of my local newspaper in B.C. Canada. Michael Dell is on the move and appears to know no restraint.

Sorry for the hype, but this company's got it covered.
